Orleans
Registered Physiotherapist
Alexandre is a Registered Physiotherapist who graduated from the University of Ottawa with a Master of Health Sciences in Physiotherapy in 2023. Before becoming a Registered Physiotherapist, Alex completed his Bachelor's degree in Human Kinetics (Kinesiology) at the University of Ottawa in 2021. After pursuing his education in French, he prides himself on offering fully bilingual services to his patients.
Alex has always had a passion for sports as he is an athlete himself. He is a world-class competitive swimmer who is currently in preparation to qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Some of his most remarkable achievements in the sport are being a 7-time junior national champion and 3-time national champion, as well as being part of Team Canada at the 2016 Junior Pan Pacific Championships (bronze medalist), 2018 World Championships, 2019 World University Games (FISU Games) and 2022 World Cup. Prior to his swimming career, he played soccer, baseball, jiu-jitsu, gymnastics, and trampoline.
During his numerous placements throughout his Master’s degree, Alex had the opportunity to be an intern “on the field” for the following sports: hockey (Quebec Junior AAA Hockey League), ringette (National Ringette League), gymnastics, and swimming.
Alex has a keen interest in orthopaedics and manual therapy, which has led him to write post-graduate certification exams such as Level 1 of the Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal (AIM) Physiotherapy Program. He will continue learning up-to-date techniques through the orthopaedic level system and pursue dry needling programs as well as many other certifications in order to better serve the numerous pathologies affecting our population.
In his spare time, Alex enjoys a very active lifestyle and enjoys spending time with family and friends, swimming, strength training, playing golf, and cooking/baking to name a few. He is passionate about what he does and would love to help you reach your goals at the Orléans location.
